“More Than Love” | Petumentaries

More Than Love Petumentaries by River Fire Films

Three rescue German Shepherd Dogs find their human

More Than Love” is about a woman named Terri and her three rescue German Shepherd Dogs came into their lives. It starts with Terri, her son Jordan and mother Amy, explain the events that led to Athena, Hanna and Roc becoming a part of the family.

They recount both the funny moments of their dogs doing comical things. To ones of great sadness, when those best years are gone and you’re faced with the tough decisions of relieving them of their pain. In “More Than Love”, Terri addresses the fact that dogs don’t just give you their love…it’s more than that.

Additional background

I was first introduced to Terri through my sister. I don’t know the details about how they began talking, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it had to do with dogs, as they were neighbors.

Terri had her three rescue GSDs, and my sister had at least that many dogs living in her home.

I never got to meet Hannah, as she passed on November 22, 2019, and I didn’t start offering this Petumentaries service until the spring of 2020. Terri was the very first to jump at the opportunity, and I am positive Hannah’s passing influenced that decision.

On June 20, 2020, I visited Terri’s home in northeast Ohio to film the interviews with her and her family. One week later – “More Than Love” was finished.
